The Only Way to Make it Out Alive

Well, here we are. Huddled at the foot of 2020. All our prayers, all of our pleas, grievances, victories, come-ups, and setbacks. And with just a couple of days before we head into 2021, I have found one thing to be true; for this year or any year to come, the only way we can make it out alive is to tell the truth!

It’s been interesting to watch the Earth die and resurrect herself. But the people! We the people of Earth have fought desperately and we’ve held our breath in this strike against the inevitable-an all out tantrum if you will. We wanted to believe that we were whole and fully evolved and prepared for anything. Maybe we felt that way because we spend our lives building a sense of security with our jobs, health, wealth, friends/ associates, etc. And one pandemic in, and we refuse to allow ourselves to crumble. But y’all, we crumbled. Some faring better than others, some seemingly unaffected, but the truth is the truth-this thing has had great impact and many of us refuse to acknowledge it.

There is something special that happened in millions of homes across the world as a result of the shutdown; there was an awakening and some answered the call and some perhaps said, “to hell with a shutdown!” But denying it didn’t change it. And no matter how big the fight, how intense the pandemic, and how fierce your preparation, something came that shook us to our core. . . Our true selves came forward, and with them came all the masks, the trauma, the years of things we’ve swept under the rug, and everything else that we try and suppress that happens to be tied to our well being. Well ain’t that ‘bout a . . .you feel me?

This is actually a really wonderful happening. I refuse to hold my breath in protest. Let all of it die. All the old paradigms, all the yuck and muck. Yes, it has required more intention on my part- pursuing healing, fessing up, grieving- but now and forever i get to be here with myself. It might’ve been Mooji who said, “give yourself back to yourself.” Wellness people! That’s the idea here. Treat folks better, stop faking or forcing friendship, tell the truth about who you are and what you want, surrender, and the list is literally what you make it-whatever YOU need to be well.

The lesson isn’t in a one-time facilitation of healing. The point is to implement it for life. To tell the truth about the pile of dirty clothes tucked away in our soul-and not get salty because a pandemic pointed them out to us. And with that, I wish you wellness. Big peace and love to all the brave people out there vibe’ing with me. -Teddy the Brave
